I just wanted to take a moment to let you guys know that one of the top MAC fan sites since the 1990’s, http://www.VanDelaySports.com, has a new look and more original content than ever before. The 2005 MAC Pigskin Preview (with FUN predictions on every MAC game) and Recruiting Analysis both provide detailed info about each MAC football team. I am also pleased to announce that we will be expanding basketball coverage this season as well.

Beginning next week Nick will start updating the “Nick’s Picks 2005” section of the Web site where Nick makes his weekly picks for all games involving MAC teams and then after the week. He will then follow up with a weekly recap of his picks and what really happened in the games. Please understand these predictions are nothing more than for fun and never intended for any other use.

Nick is what I consider to be a “MAC insider” as he is a well-respected writer by the Mid-American Conference offices and by Rick Chryst. He has run the http://www.VanDelaySports.com since the 1990’s and has been interviewed on 850 WKNR in Cleveland on several occasions. I am working with Nick to provide a true team effort as two MAC alumni working together to promote the conference online.

I also want to invite you all to check out http://www.MACReportOnline.com which is run by an Eastern Michigan alumnus and, like http://www.VanDelaySports.com, is yet another great source of Mid-American Conference sports news and information.

I make it a point to visit both sites at least once a day. Dave and Nick both do outstanding jobs on their respective websites. BTW, the www.vandelaysports.com/ revamp looks very nice.

Both sites are great for MAC news, previews and coverage. I respect Nick and Dave's analysis of the MAC every time.

I have gotten to know both sites and both Nick and Dave much better as a result of my work with Nick. I make it a point to mention Dave too b/c both of these sites need to be frequented by the die-hards that live in these team boards. I have implemented VanDelaySports.com's Internet strategy to help grow with the MAC and continuously improve the Web site. The next phase involves getting more of the casual fans searching online for MAC info to the site.

I must say that this has been a fun project so far!

Great to see VanDelay get a new look, also great to see the content getting a more frequent update.

The VanDelaySports.com site gets all of the helmets from http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/. If you guys have a new helmet let them know and when they get it updated I will get it added to the VanDelay site!

The newest helmet design is available on http://www.nationalchamps.net/Helmet_Project/ . The new helmet is missing the white in the center of the Falcon symbol. Whereas, http://www.vandelaysports.com/boards.html still has the 1981-2003 helmet.

My apologies. I will update the VanDelay site this weekend.

I have updated the BG helmet on the VanDelaySports.com Web site as promised. It's correct on the Message Boards page and I will update the old images on the 2005 Pigskin Preview and '05 Recruiting analysis BG pages.
