Watching for updates on that, my stomach turned sick with that field goal.

I hate Ohio State, obviously a feeling echoed around here.

My stomach just dropped, especially after a Michigan loss I wanted to see OSU lose too.

it was even funny to hear the announcers talk about how marshall was a "second chance" school during the beginning of the game. What a pansy way to put it.

Me too

I wanted OSU to crush the herd. Now we've got to listen to all the Herd fans whine about how the officials robbed them at the end of the game, they were the better team, blah, blah. Besides, a Marshall win this year wouldn't be props for the Mac, because I'm sure it would just start the announcers talking about how Marshall is "stepping up" to CUSA.

Shortly after they announced the score at 21 all I heard about 30 people cheer all of the sudden and knew that tOSU has slopped it out...if the morons love the f-in bubeyes soo much they should stay home...it was disgusting to know that so many idiots were listening to them on their radios.

We also need to stop announcing their score at the game!! WHO CARES!!!

While I agree with you on the "not announcing scores" thought, it brings up a couple catch 22's, I think. First off, it WAS a MAC score, so that legitimizes (sp?) it somewhat, and also, we probably still have to face facts that alot of fans at the games have split loyalties. As long as these 30 were cheering for BG when necessary, I think that's cool too. I'd rather have their butts in the seats and ticket money in the budget than go through the whole "we only had 11,000 fans because OSU had a game at the same time" argument again and again.

(Of course, a solution to all of it would have been to give the Kansas score after every play. )

This is one of those games where I wish both teams would lose. OSU because I hate them and its about time they lost one of these games. I would have been rooting hard for Marshall any other year but not anymore. i guess a Marshall win still would have looked good for the MAC at the present though

If you stop announcing OSU scores at the game, stop announcing all scores. I am sure not to many people grew up rooting for BG, instead of OSU. I know I am one of these people. However when I came to BG, OSU took a seat in the passengers seat, and I even rooted against OSU last year when we played them, but I still like to follow them. I don't see the big deal. Am I not allowed to have more than one favorite team?

You're fighting a losing battle on this one. I'm in 100% agreement with you and am exactly the same way concerning the two teams. Yes, you are allowed to have 2 favorite teams, and you can continue to root for both. Just don't expect most of the guys on this site to see your point of view, they never will.

I don't think the issue is that you can't root for two teams. I will only give my opinion and not try to speak for others, but I just don't like the buckeye fans who have grown up brain washed from day one to think that they have to worship osu just b/c they are from ohio. I can't stand the attitude that many osu fans have about other programs. I'm referring to the osu fans that are much like calisooner. They have no respect for anyone else and believe the competition should worship the ground they walk on. Every 'big time' program has their share of them.
My issue isn't with what you could call true buckeye fans. There's just alot of the brainwashed type out there that really don't even know what they're talking about. OSU seems to have more than their share of them.

I agree completely..I finished watching the OSU game, then made it out to the doyt. I know I prolly will piss a bunch of people off with this thread but I have been an Ohio State fan since I knew what football was. This is not to say I'm not a BG fan whatsoever, I just prefer one team (OSU) over another. It didn't help the fact that we were playing Southeast Missouri, If it were a bigger team, I can almost gurantee I would be at the BG game. Maybe the AD needs to realize that BG needs to get past these D1-AA teams and that may bring in the fans. Anyways, I just wanted to clear it up to you guys that I am an OSU fan first, only because I was a hardcore OSU fan before I even knew what Bowling Green was. Now that I am here, I am going to cheer them on just as much as I do OSU, but I do have priorities if they are on at the same time. Luckily I dont have to worry about this next week when we play N.I.Who? I truly am sorry if I offended anyone in this post but these are just my feelings.
Anyhow, yesterday was a great day for college football, OSU won, BG won, and Michigan lost to a weak Notre Dame team....and I know you michigan fans and OSU haters are gonna whine that OSU shoulda lost and they got lucky, but all i have to say is lucky is better than losing and at the end of the year, its still one more strike in the win column.

go bg, beat n.i.who

blah, blah, blah... the scarlet and gray board is down the hall next to the crapper.

I've been a Michigan fan since birth, and still pull for them, but there is NOTHING they can do that would compare to what this BG team is capable of, and for that, EVERYONE should be excited above and beyond what any other team is doing, no matter who they are or how long you've been a fan.
