This thread on Boise's board amuses me

Post by BGSU Falconz »

I'm hoping every single football player on our schedule feels the same way most of these BSU fans do.

With Harris, we were often deemed a one trick pony. Harris is gone, and yet we're still a one trick pony. How does that work?

I love the BSU board.

Hardwoodballer - "Jacobs does not have what it takes to will his team to a BCS Bowl. Which is exactly what Alex Smith did last year and he was like 4th out of 5 canidates for the Heisman. And believe you me Omar will not be a top 5 pick. I am not afraid of BGSU. Like I've stated before they are our 5th biggest game of the season, behind Fresno, UGA, Hawaii (since it is conference and @ Hawaii), and Oregon State. I plan to beat these guys by at least 3 touchdowns and show Omar what a real QB can do."

Also, they have some mixed feelings about stopping the Pope Train...

Hmm. It doesn't appear as if they're talking about our Pope.

In almost every single thread I read over invloving us someone over there compares Jacobs to Tommy Chang. I find that hilarious. They should wish we had Tommy Chang.

Every board has their over-confident nut-jobs, don't they?

Geez, should we go on about how Zabransky is incredibly overrated (can't hold Pinegar's jockstrap, IMO)? How Boise will get rolled by Fresno within their conference after getting drilled by us and Georgia? How Hawkins is one very odd dude?

Nah, I wouldn't want to do that.

I was just going to say the same thing. Hardwood is a total homer and posts the SAME crap on the ESPN boards. He and DP_Bronco are the most inept fans I've ever seen. They demand so much respect for their team but give NONE back to anyone. They are both just jealous and its easier to hate than give respect when you're jealous. So, thats how I see it. For the simple fact of how ridiculous so many of their fans are, I hope they go 6-5 with losses to Georgia, Oregon State, Us, Fresno and SJSU :). THat would make my day just to laugh at their unrealistic fans.

i wouldn't pay too much attention to what hardballer said. he's pretty new to our board and has already stirred up some controversy among the other bronco faithful.

truth is, if you read the rest of the posts on the blue turf board, you'll see an overwhelming respect and admiration for Omar and BGSU. those of us who watched you guys play last year know that you're a complete team, and we know we're in for a fight.

we get lambasted for being a "one trick pony" all the time, too. we only wonder which pony they're referring to.

there's no question that the BGSU-BSU game is the one home game we're all looking forward to the most! :D

After reading the rest of the posts in the above-linked threads and also some others, I noticed that hardonballer is disliked by many of his own.

we have our share of overzealous fans, just like any team.

many of those kinds of fans post on BroncoCountry only for a short time before leaving because their views are not shared by most. some, like DP, have even started their own web sites, or post on the ESPN boards because of it.

overall, the majority of BroncoCountry folks are good and respectful fans and are excited to be playing BGSU this year and next. hopefully we'll show you the same courtesy and class on our board as you've done for me on yours.

That makes me feel good to hear that DP isn't welcome on your board and that he started his own website. He is by far one of the most inept, easily angered, and double-standard'd (not a word but u know what I mean :D) individuals that I've ever seen. That says a lot because there are some idiots out there.

Also keep in mind that DP defends Cam Hall and was happy that he was at practice. While I don't know the entire story, Cam Hall is charged with 3 counts of felony manslaugher, and no matter what the circumstances, if he were completely innocent, like DP claims, then why would he be charged? Clearly the evidence supports such a charge. And, to be happy that that kid is practicing and may play against Georgia rather than being upset at his actions and sad for the family killed, is RIDICULOUS!

Basically condones the actions by supporting him and makes it clear that he cares more about Boise winning that just about anything else. Thats pathetic. I told him that if something like this happened to a BG starter, I wouldn't want him on the team no matter what. Also, I made it clear to DP that he only cared about the situation because Cam was a starter and it left a lot of questions at CB.

Anyway, I have browsed some of the Bronco boards and I do agree that most of your fans are very respectable people. For whatever reason, your team, at least on the ESPN boards, has the most inept homers of any team. Unfortately, a lot of people don't like Boise because of those fans, and I wish some of you realistic, respectful Boise fans would post on there to even it out and show everyone that the lot of you are good people.
