CFN experts pick the conference winners

Two of the three pic BG. Matthew Zemek picks BG and says this "In a fiercely contested league with a number of contenders, the Falcons have a legit gunslinger in Omar Jacobs.
It's hard not to pick against a team with a proven quarterback."
Uhhhh, WTF does that mean. Do we have any English major that can interpret that last sentence for me?

Excluding double-negatives, it seems he believes that it's hard to pick a team with a proven quarterback.

I hear Martin Zemtek is a fantastic analyst with a lot of skills. He will do a great job covering BG standout QB Steve Jacobs.
It's hard to not see why others don't think that he's not a bad analyst.

Simply an example of why using "CFN" and "experts" in the same sentence creates a contradiction.
