BGSU hats at "Lids"

Just got back from the South Park mall in Strongsville, OH. I was pleasantly surprised to count SEVEN different BG hats in stock there! I asked the sales clerk about the presence of pretty much all big Ohio schools in stock... he said that right now, their two biggest-selling college teams are Ohio State (no surprise) and BGSU.

Go Falcons! Beat the Badgers!

i have mixed feelings about Lids - i am glad they finally are on the bandwagon, but that friggin black and orange thing they have going is frustrating...not to mention the fact that the retail logo is wrong on the aforementioned hats.

But they have some nice "standard" BG stuff.

i am going to head back to the homeland and visit the bookstore and maybe SBX to get a new lid for me

Every BG hat that is sold is that much more publicity and money for the athletic department...

Exactly. Was at a HS football game last weekend and I have never seen so many young kids with BGSU hats on. It was nice to see.

Which is where the retail mark might increase our appeal...

5 years ago : "what is that LT on your hat"
2 years ago : "Hey look, a BG hat in the Lidz!"
Now : SEVEN kinds in stock? damn.

Freak: You got it. Noah's BG wardrobe is slowly growing. Mrs. 87 has been questioning his need for more t-shirts and I told her that there are plenty of non-BG items that could go to the Salvation Army!

She also said she wanted a zippered hoodie, so Noah & I will be doing some shopping for her during our trip.

There are two local Lidz/Hatworld (same company) stores in my general area in Columbus. One is the Hatworld at Polaris and the other is the Lidz at Easton. I've been to the Polaris store most recently and, if my memory serves me correctly, they have 5 BG hats. I think the store at Easton has at least 3.

The sportsfanattic store at Polaris has only 1 BG hat (new logo), a cheap looking BG wall clock, and two styles of BG license plate borders.

I was just as at the Lids in Elyria. They have 5-6 BG hats. None of the colors are all bad IMO. There was an almost all brown one, some orange and white ones, and one with a little black in it. Even the kid working there was wearing a Falcon hat

As far as selection goes, I just checked the University official site and SBX's site, and all seven of the hats offered at Lids were different from the ones available on-line from the bookstores.

I think one was a brown hat with brown stitching, orange with orange stitching, one with a cursive "Falcons" across the front, one with the new logo. Nice selection...

I love my Orange Falcon Zephyr cap. It's got a large, nicely raised, embroidered traditional falcon head in brown on it, and it's even trimmed in white like the football helmet...even though it came out way before our '04 uniform design!

Kdog - I have been at that store many times. He is always in a BG hat when I see him.

Well that is good advertisement if he is always wearing it. ...Yeah he told me he was transferring to BGSU spring semester. He probably goes to LCCC right now.
