UH letting families in free

The University of Houston is letting residents of the Katrina victims in free tommorow night at Reliant when they play Oregon. The Comets did the same thing last night for their playoff game with Seattle. I haven't seen how many took advantage of it last night, but I think tommorow we might see quite a few people at the game. I am going to go, and I am anxious to see what they are going to do for these families during the game. Getting into the game is great, but it's not cheap eating or getting something to drink there. They are limiting the tickets to 8 per resident. Being down here, I can't tell you how much the city has stepped up and helped out the victims, mostly from New Orleans. I can honestly say that not only am I a proud Falcon, but now I am a proud Houston implant.

That is a great story, HF. As excited and totally pumped as I am for Falcon Football, I can't help but feel for all our fellow citizens in that devastated area! My prayers are with every one of them.

Football season is great....but it is still just a game.

Way to go U of H!

I suppose there are a few proud Houston implants in this crowd:

But I'm guessing you mean "transplant."

Boy, today I have had a couple of braincramps. But after the picture of the Rocket Power Dancers, I would love to be an implant. Hey, at least my spelling error gave Shcad a good excuse to pull up a picture of the Rocket Power Dancers.
