Along with Kent State and Akron. Rogers is a 6' 190 lb QB for Quaker Valley HS in the Pittsburgh area. Article in the Akron Beacon Journal says he runs a 4.5 forty and has an above average arm. His team has lost, get this, 23 straight games. 23!! BTW, Darren has a 3.7 GPA! The BJ says he is a tremendous athlete. Despite the fact that his team has lost 23 straight, Rogers is getting interest.

Well, if he's along the lines of Harris, Jacobs, and Turner.....let's get him here and see if he can win 23 straight.

A corner a or saftey obviously. Too small to be qb in our system I think , though has the mobility.

In all likleyhood where recruiting this kid for a secondary postion like a saftey or corner , thats just what I'm guessing he projects as seeing his size and speed. 4.5 is decent speed for a saftey. Now I haven't heard or seen anyone posting about his throwing accuracy or strenghth, so I don't now about that. But unless he has pretty good passer and has Vick like speed I don't see him projecting has a qb with us but rather a secondary position. Its just my thoughts and my guesses nothing more.

You are correct, Flip. Today's Akron Beacon Journal has him verballing to Kent due to "The Kent program is a 1-A program on the rise and it's close to home".
Me thinks he took one look at the BG QB status and thought it would be better to go to Kent. Best of luck to him!
