MAC vs. Big Ten
CMU is holding their own against Indiana 20-13 (just missed an extra point) early in the fourth. It sure would be great for the MAC to beat up on the Big Ten. If CMU could come back, BG over Wisky and I'd be thrilled with either N Illinois or Miam pulling a huge upset over their opponents tomorrow.

NIU
Rumor in Dekalb is that RB Garrett Wolfe, WR Shatone Powers, and WR Sam Hurd were at a frat party last night and got in a fight and one of them was arrested.
Again this is just a rumor, but I think there is some truth to it. The frat house was called and said that they were instructed to not make any comments. On the other hand, no media outlets have reported anything on this.
It could be a hoax, and for their chances against Michigan let's hope it is.

Ball state
13 players were suspended. at least 7 were projected starters. So far the suspension is just for the Iowa game, but since the investigation is on going, more games are a possibility

4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I saw this story at a restaurant on ESPN tonight, and two thoughts ran through my head:PGY Tiercel wrote:13 players were suspended. at least 7 were projected starters. So far the suspension is just for the Iowa game, but since the investigation is on going, more games are a possibility

(1) All this over some books?
(2) This is one problem you will never see at UT...

It was a joke. You know, the same kind of thing you guys make about tractor pulls and such.rocketfootball wrote:What is that supposed to mean???Bleeding Orange wrote:(2) This is one problem you will never see at UT...PGY Tiercel wrote:13 players were suspended. at least 7 were projected starters. And what it was supposed to mean (i.e., the reason it was funny) was that Toledo players don't use books, so they never have to worry about a book scandal! Come on, laugh with me: HA!.......HA! HA!....

huh?
You must be assuming that I go to or did go to UT. That's almost a case in point back at you. You know what assuming does to you and me both, right?Jacobs4Heisman wrote:case in point

That's fine, I thought you were trying to bring up the fact that UT had a couple of kids be academically ineligible for this fall. Of course almost every school has this problem though, including BG.Bleeding Orange wrote:It was a joke. Do we have any academic casualties this fall? Crossley left last year. Simonton left over the summer. Perry got his act together. Stover appears to have left as have Hutcherson and a few other spare parts.
Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone who's sitting because they are struggling in the classroom.

It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Didn't Crossley play last year and then flunked out so he left school? Since he played last year I consider him a casualty for this year. I think there was another guy that flunked out and left about the same time too.Flipper wrote:Do we have any academic casualties this fall? Crossley left last year. Simonton left over the summer. Hutcherson.......I am pretty sure he was kicked off the team. He was busted with marijuana a few months back.
