If Sharon catches that TD pass we are in this game.
the runs up hte middle at the end were stupid. a 7 point loss to wisconsin looks way better than a 14 point loss

As bad as the whole second half was, I really loved how we gave up with the ball at the 1 with :43 left. That is still time for a TD & onsides kick. We didn't even make a concerted effort. By that time the game was essentially over, but it was still terrible playcalling/clock management.

I'm really not trying to be confrontational here (or elswhere), but what the hell are you talking about?

We had first and goal on the 1. Rather than spike it and stop the clock we ran a QB draw, then spiked it, wasting about 25 seconds. We then tried a running play. That's poor coaching all around. You throw the ball in the endzone either scoring or stopping the clock. I'm not really too upset about it, because the game was probably over, but it was still bad.

yep we were on the 1 yard line. still had a "chance" with 43 seconds left and everyone is walking to the line we finally think maybe we should set up but by then we spike it with 13 seconds left. Then fail to stuff it into the endzone ball game over.
who knows what could've happened if we would've hurried up to the line spiked the ball score a td and had an onside kick.
I hate being this hard on the team but I was just so excited for this game and the loss has hit me like a ton of bricks. I am having a falconboy moment "the sky is falling"

hammb - sorry, I was thinking there wasn't nearly that much time left on the clock, but you were right. I was just confused (go figure, eh?).
Tricky - Well played, sir. Well played. 8)

Funny how beer can fix just about anything, eh? 8)
Hope that new home brew is treating you well, hammb! Looked beautiful, even on the internet from 2500 miles away...

We might've won the game if Sharon caught that beautiful pass Omar threw to him with like 6:30 left. Then if we had done the common sense thing down on the 1 like everyone is talking about, we could have won this thing easily. Plain and simple.
The D needs work, as do our special teams. Omar did not disappoint and neither did the O line. We know what needs work, I think they do too, and we can improve. It's not time to dismiss the team for the rest of the season yet. Not if you're a true fan anyway.

Hamm...
We were trying to catch them off guard. We should be able to punch it in from one foot out.

get off of Sharon though, Charles Sharon by far did not lose this football game for us, if he makes that catch we have a slightly better chance at a tie, but did you all really think we could get a stop? no way, and even if we did kick the onsides kick the odds are slim and then another TD (that most likely would have been caught by Sharon) would have only tied the game, we lost because we gave up 56 pts to a terrible Off team, not bc Chuckie had a drop!

I don't think he was ragging on Chuck, he had a great game. However, the point being, that was one play that was a game changer, so to speak. Its a bummer that he dropped it, but I don't think GF was blamming chuck for losing the game.
