Josh Harris Released by Browns

With all the disappointment surrounding the loss, I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but Josh Harris was released today by the Cleveland Browns. Another MAC product however, undrafted rookie WR/KR Josh Cribbs, made the 53-man roster.

At this point, we all either keep our fingers crossed that nobody claims Josh before he's eligible for the practice squad, or bid him happy trails and hope he catches a break elsewhere.

I hope he gets out of this ridiculous organization -- and FAST!

I hope Mooch picks him up in Detroit. Jeff Garcia had his leg broken in Buffalo last night (unlike most people who have their legs broken in upstate NY, it wasn't mob related) and the Lions need a back up for Joey (is he a homo?) Harrington.

I doubt Harris will get picked up by the Lions. They want a veteran to backup.

...and Cole and Redd were also released today.

As much as I still think we'll have a successful season, I just can't help but be very very sad today.

I can't believe they kep Johnson over Harris.
Maybe this is just temporary. If Josh makes it through waivers and they sign him to the practice squad, then they will release Johnson. Don't know why they would bother hanging on to a crappy veteran with no potential.

Have the Browns ever made any decision that made sense?

Especially when they're paying him veteran backup QB money. I doubt he'll be the backup QB when all is said and done.

Of course they have! Remember when they took Mike Junkin out of PSU in the first round? *ducking*
