Yeah, I tried to open this link in the other post you had on whether the game was on tv. Of course, my firm's web filter blocked it because it is a "gambling" site. If I had read this one first, & saw it was your "bookie's" I probably wouldn't have opened it.......
Which is to say, I'm not mad at you. I just wonder if my law firm thinks I have a gambling problem now??? Great!

Come on MACMAN. Think about it. Of course it is a mistake. Do you notice that there isn't any point spread or over/under listed?MACMAN wrote:My bookie site has Ball St. Picked as Favorite this weekend?????? wierd

When the game is off the board the website defaults to listing the home team as a favorite. They obviously aren't going to let you bet on it because they have no line. Take a look at the Iowa at Iowa State game. Three of the books have it on the board with Iowa at -9. The fourth book doesn't have a line so they automatically list the home team (Iowa St) as the favorite.

Okay, I guess I am safe. But on another sidenote, I DO know a lawyer who used to be a bookie. He went to my law school, and I distinctly remember watching football games over at his house one Saturday & it was one of the most surreal experiences I have ever seen. He had a bigger "bookie" dude he was calling all his bets into & there was all this horrible tension & people were freaking out over all the money they lost. What a great guy (yeah right)! But if anybody needs a lawyer or wants to place a bet in Pittsburgh, I can give you his name!MACMAN wrote:They do at times just put a pck as it is listed wth no points, limiting the bet to pck only.
I am going to keep an eye on it.
Oh I bet they know you have a problem....betcha?
Gamblers A lit on desk and in email....just ask some one to borrow 20 bucks and invite them to lunch at the track?

Huh....interesting. I had the same kind of thing happen to me whenever I try to get on to Atlanta Falcons message board using my laptop and wireless at Panera's. I get a message saying that site is restricted for "gambling".Weird.Ineedbotox wrote:Yeah, I tried to open this link in the other post you had on whether the game was on tv. I have a tip for you:
If you have to think for a second if this is a mistake, you should be buying blue chip stocks and bonds and not sending your money to Vegas dude.
