Healthy player question
I'd rather not use the I word. Who's not playing today or possibly Boise? Partridge? Pope I assume too? Any updates? Any others? TIA

What is his injury? I'd hadn't heard anything except what you posted in here.Spart43 wrote:Got word late last night. Corey will most likely not play today.
Sorry, but he needs to be healthy for Boise.

In the pregame show they said that he separated his shoulder in the second half last week. Show great toughness by coming back in. I hope he gets healthy for Boise.Warthog wrote:What is his injury? Well, I was very surprized to see Corey playing. I was told he wasn't going to start, which was true. But I was also told he would play very little if at all.
He didn't look good. His running form was off and he just wasn't himself. He certainly wasn't 100%.
In the Wisconsin game, Corey looked to have broken his hand in the 1st Q. In the 3rd Q he separated his shoulder. They xrayed his hand last monday and it was not broken (Thank you). His shoulder is still tender and if you were at the game you could see that he wore an extra brace and padding. He didn't practice until Wednesday and during practice pulled a groin, which kept him out of practice the rest of the week. That was what was to keep him out of the game yesterday.
Apparently he convinced someone that he could go after warmups. It was obvious that he was having some difficulty with the groin during the game. He had some good blocks and played ok. Not up to the standard he holds for himself. No excuse on the fumble. He has to hang on to the ball.
Hope all heals up before Boise. I would love to see a repeat of his performance from wisconsin in the Boise game.

All of those injuries, probably hurting like hell every time he moved, and still in the game; you're kid has stones of steel!

Wow, that's impressive. How many times can one kid get injured? We're behind him all the way.Spart43 wrote:Well, I was very surprized to see Corey playing. I was told he wasn't going to start, which was true. But I was also told he would play very little if at all.

On another note, did anybody ever hear anything about the lineman who got injured?

Would that be Nick Goss, Frosh outta Westerville? Gotta admit watching the team come off the field, Joe had the longest face by a mile. I feel badly for him but his job is getting those kicks thru the uprights.FalconFanatic wrote:I'm sorry but they only reason that Timchenko is starting is because he is a senior. His backup has a much stronger leg, and doesn't miss extra points. It's only a matter of time before they pull Joe.
Spart,
GREAT seeing you last night! Can't wait to see your new ride on 10/1.
