Anyone able to get a picture of the SAC sign from this weekend at the BG/SEMO game? I'm eager to see it.

Something missing from that SAC sign was the Athletic Hall of Fame and the Don Cunningham Memorial Athletic Archives.
Also, how cool would a bronze Doyt L. Perry statue be outside of the stadium.
Pics for everyone!!

I went over and took these earlier. From the looks of it, maybe they are going to put up another video board or maybe the old score board behind the SAC. Also, I am wondering if they will have to remove the North endzone bleachers to make room for it.

A bronze Doyt L. Perry statue would be awesome, what a great idea! I'm all for it and think it should be in order.
Also, much thanks for the pictures, this is the first I have seen of the much talked about SAC. When the SAC gets built, we will leap above a lot of MAC schools for best stadiums. We're getting better with all the new additions, but the SAC will put us on top.

My guess is that these would be called the Heritage Room?
A statue would be the bomb too!!
Don't tear down North Endzones!

I think that would be a bad idea. Hopefully they will design this thing in a way that won't make it impossible for us to expand the north endzone seating in the future when necessary. Yeah, it would be cool to have a second video board on the north side as well. 8)

Personally, I'd rather have it sit right off the North endzone. I don't think we've seen pics of the "field side" of the building plans (or have we? Hmmm...), but I think it would be sweet to have "luxury box" type seating there for recruits and/or select Falcon Club members (depending on the size of the thing). Just like they have the Falcon Club setup on the south end now, except the tent part would be inside the building, with a patio spreading out toward some type of fence (picket, brick, shrubbery?) along the back of the endzone. I think it would be more likely to use that for recruits, since the Falcon Club tent seems to get crowded and crazy (people-wise), but it would be a great backdrop. And if they want/need to add more seats, do it on the south side and bring the video board back into play a little.
The statue of Doyt would be awesome as well, I don't know how you would incorporate it into the entrance of the stadium, though. It would be sweet to have it at the entrance of the SAC, but seeing how the game traffic comes in from the east and southwest, how many people would get to see it?

I think they should do seating off the back of the sac. If any of you have seen ball state's stadium it has an athletes center and then a scoreboard with seating for the endzone side. It doesn't even have to be much seating; just some. And with the north side of the stadium closed off i bet noise echoes a heck of a lot better which makes it a good place for... students.
What the SAC may look like. . .

I have assumed that the other side of the SAC would appear similar to Louisville's new set up at Papa John Stadium ..
As to where we will put the Doyt statue... either between the North goal posts and the SAC, outside of the SAC-north of the stadium, or outside of the West stands so that students could see it.

I've heard worse. .. PLus I think the guy that started PJ's is a U of L grad. . . . .
So maybe that means we could soon be seeing the Falcons play in Dorf on Golf Stadium?

Nice Dorf reference!!!
John Schnatter "Papa John" is a Louisville native and not a UL graduate. John is actually a MAC alumnus of Ball State.
