Am I going to have to repeat this until blue?

Don't hang this performance on the D. 4 TO's with 24 points coming off of those TOs is too much for any defense.

I agree RUIT. The TO's, at least two of them, put the def in bad field position. And the trick plays working so well is a fluke as well. And I will throw Fry's crappy punting in there as well because that lead to good field position for the Cardinals as well

Let's stop making excuses. Our defense is terrible this season.

No, it wasn't totally our defence. But, they were part of it. I would say the D played sub-par last week, and slightly above par this week. An improvement, yes; enough, not by a long shot. I wonder what show OU's marching band will do for the MACC

23 of 32 for 294 yards and four touchdowns...that was the Ball State QB's line tonight. Almost 500 yards of total offense by the Cardinals.

This was a depleted Ball State team...one that Iowa torched 56-0 last week while holding them to 100 yards of total offense.

Lets take the orange colored glasses off and realize that Boise, Miami and Toledo are going to make Omar and the offense score at least 45-50 points to win all those games. That's a lot pressure to put on the offense.

The only bright spot by the defense tonight was a couple of big turnovers.

Boise's offense got ontracka little today putting up 27 against Oregon State. Lets hope we can outscore them.

Aha! Wrong you are! All of the miscreants were playing! They staggered the suspensions, so they all played in this game and will sit out another one.

It was ugly, but it was a W.

The keys to this one were obviously that we came out thinking we were somewhere else...

...and....

(wait for it)

...Ball State played a 'textbook' game on both sides of the ball and almost got it done.

Regarding the Lynch comment, aside from the two picks that he threw in the final 7 minutes, I thought he outplayed Omar tonight. He seemed to be right on target on deep balls and made good decisions for most of the night. That had to be the best game of his career.

We may win the East if Miami cannot turn it around in a hurry, but without drastic improvement on defense and special teams, we will lose to UT twice to end the year.

...it was that same defense that sealed the deal with an INT return for a TD ... I know it is tought to watch .... or follow on line as I did tonight (thought I was going to crack the laptop when the Cards took the lead) ... however that is our D-fense so we have to love em and support em, but DAMN that was a bit much tonight.

The offense cannot be expected to put up 40 every game. They probably can, but it shouldn't be needed.

Earn those scholarships men!
