The youngest son and I went to the Miami-Central Michigan game today with my friend and his family..... Tough loss for Miami.

Anyway, during the fourth quarter as the game was tightening up and the Redhawks needed fan support, a group of about 10 fans seated near the press box..... okay us.....led by the kids where banging on the seats and chanting "LET"S GO REDHAWKS!". It actually began to spread down the stadium. If you live in the Dayton area, watch the game replay tonight to see if you hear us. about 11 minutes left in the game.

It wasn't long until some old battleax of a Univeristy employee/representative came down and told us to be quiet because it was disturbing to the people sitting in the press boxes. I KID YOU NOT!!!!!

Of course, showing up for a football game (or any athletic event) to support your alma mater and cheer them on to victory is just the kind of enthusiasm that must be STOPPED at all cost. This woman even went out during the game and collected beach balls that the crowd was tossing aroung during the game. The beach balls were red and white and had been handed out at the game. WELL WE CERTAINLY DON"T WANT ANYONE TO LOSE AN EYE!!!!!!

Is it any wonder that the MAC in general has problems generating fan interest. The game environment is a sad product of this type of overbearing BS.

I wonder if there will be ushers at tonight's OSU-Texas game telling fans to be quiet?
