While watching the local Arizona coverage...

Post by Bleeding Orange »

One of the announcers made a comment about a sub-par quarterback being good. The other announcer said: "No, you're thinking about that Bowling Green quarterback." He then proudly and emphatically said: "MY ALMA MATER!"

I have no idea who this guy is or what his name is, but he is doing the game for FSN Arizona. I'll try and find out. This was cool and made me feel a lot better about the mediocre win tonight!

Looks like it's former Falcon and Mizzou coach Larry Smith.

(don't have the link handy, but there's a "Larry Smith" listed as a broadcaster for FSN AZ for tonight's game on the UA site)

Thanks, TG. I tried searching the Fox Sports Net site but couldn't find anything. I would imagine that he would definately be the guy.

I thought it was soooo cool to hear that on local coverage this far from home. Us Falcons are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!! :)
