I'm bored. got some downtime between classes. I went back and looked at some of the john harris writings in the toledo blade's archive. I know he doesn't come up with some of the headlines, but i figured he is so wrong usually that we could come up with some better ones.

Spence the man who makes UT go; was his last praise of UT on sept 1.

So i start the game off with a lame one.

Spence the man who makes UT slow.

u gotta check this article out if you haven't already. the picture of their offensive coordinator is really a piece of work. the guy get's 100,000 a yr as offensive coordinator. And it's definitely paying off for us bg fans...

"The strange part, however, is that Spence is nothing like the offense he coaches. He's as quiet as head coach Tom Amstutz is outgoing."

Shouldnt it read more like: "The strange part, however, is that Spence is nothing like the offense he coaches. He's as quiet as head coach Tom Amstutz is fat." ??????

These were a few of my more favorite quotes:

"He has so many potential big plays at his disposal it'll make the Gophers' heads spin."

Wow, I bet the Gophers were glad UT didn't use any of those "potential big plays" and saved them.

"Spence may be the best offensive coordinator in college football this side of Southern California's Norm Chow."

High praise from a true football genius...man that John Harris knows his stuff.

"His system guarantees success. He's at the top of his game."

Again wow, guarantees sucess. That John Harris has done it again that soothsayer.....What you say, Toledo got embarassed twice and their offense looked inept. Oh John Harris, I guess even football gurus miss one every once in a while. Keep up the great body of work on UT football. :vom: :vom: :vom:
