Potential future opponents

A brief list that I came up with of potential BCS opponents that we could get to come to the Doyt:

SEC

Vanderbilt
Kentucky

ACC

Duke
North Carolina
Wake Forest Potential 1 for 1, with maybe our b-ball team also
going there for a sacrificial lamb tune-up game

BIG 12

Kansas
Missouri
Baylor

BIG East

UCONN
Louisville (doubtful)
UC (good interstate match-up)
Rutgers
USF (they suck I wouldn't, unless they came here first)
PITT (I think they will avoid coming into MAC stadiums from now on)
Syracuse (It would be sweet to play in the Carrier Dome)

These are just some ideas of good home draws and some BCS schools we could get to come here.

USF owes us two at home before I would even think of playing down there (and you can bet I would have one $$$$$$$ buyout clause in that contract).

Playing southern schools would be a great help in recruiting. Scheduling a Texas school would be great for recruiting as well.

Well, it doesn't appear we'll ever to get to schedule Texas A&M. Franchione wants to schedule I-AA schools (like Texas State) for his 12th game and his AD is not telling him to do any different.

I would love to see something with GA Tech, Clemson, Kentucky, or Syracuse. The far west stuff would be fun but impossible for us to get to.

I definitely think a home-and-home with North Texas would be good for both programs.

Wake Forest has the kid from Kenton starting at QB. Would have been a nice setup to get him a game close to home, but I think it is too late to get that in the schedule.

Arizona St.

In 2007 we are suppose to be playing at Arizona St. We are also penciled in with Virginia Tech in 2008 @ VT. We will be playing at the horseshoe in 2010 and more than likely next year. Here is a website that I found with the future schedules http://nationalchamps.net/NCAA/future_s ... future.htm

We can't play Wake until 2011

The non-conference schedule for Wake Forest is packed until 2011. I dont think we would play them anyway.

I think you are missing the point. We were discussing future BCS teams we could schedule that would actually do home for home games with us. And why would BG not play Wake Forest????????

It has been many of our experience that this site is not reliable.

Best bet: Check the media guide on our Web site, while keeping in mind that some things have changed since it was published (e.g., the addition of a Florida International series).

BG's first recruiting priority should be to get Ohio players to choose BG instead of Big Ten and Big East schools.

Yes, this is obvious, but even BIG TEN schools go out of state

Omar, Sharon, etc., etc. out of ohio
