I got word from Josh in an email that he leaves for the CFL tomorrow. Those were all the specifics he gave me. Lets wish him luck.

Not possible. Fantastic Four wouldn't do that to Falcon Nation.

This is GREAT for Josh. He just needs to play. He's got the tools, just needs some refining that the NFL wouldn't have the patience for.
If he can work on his accuracy and comfort in the pocket as a full time player in the CFL, I can definitely see him getting another shot in an NFL camp at some point in his future. I'm just thrilled the guy is getting a shot somewhere to play football. The guy can flat out play football, and I'm still holding out hope he can become an NFL guy in the future

Glad he's going to get a chance to play professional football. I'm with hammb, I think Josh has IT; if he can polish his skills in the CFL, maybe he can prove that he can bring IT to the NFL.

Sorry, jumped the gun, thought it somehow said Omar. I was in a hurry.

This is great news.
If Josh could just PLAY for a while, I think he'll get comfortable. He's got some remarkable tools.
This is great news and I'm really glad for Josh and his family.

Does anyone think that some of those tools could have possibly been refined in Europe?

Now he will have a chance to:
1. Enjoy the greatest healthcare system in the world.
2. Enjoy Labatt's.
3. Enjoy Alan Thicke.
4. Enjoy the Northern Pikes.
5. Enjoy Kids in the Hall.
6. Enjoy back bacon on a bun.
7. Enjoy colder weather than in BG.

I would bet that he eventually thrives in the CFL and never sees it beyond an NFL preseason. He has had two chances now, and most young QBs dont get that many more. You have to think most NFL teams bring 4 QBs to camp. The three that they had last year and a rookie. If the team that invested a 5th round pick on him does not see him as a potential developmental QB.

Must be why so many canadians come here for medical procedures. There are also a large number of Canadien doctors practicing in the US because they can't make a living up there (mine's one of them). If it isn't an emergency up there you're on a 4 year waiting list.....if you're lucky.
I've got several Canadian friends.....most don't have much good to say about their health care system.
We need some health care reforms here but socialized medicine isn't the answer.

Actually socialized medicine is the answer. You are thinking about it in terms of you. Think about it terms a of a poor person trying to get pre natal care. Or any other kind of Preventative care.

Doug Flutie, Kurt Warner, and Tommy Maddox are examples of guys who played in other leagues and came back to star in the NFL. There are countless other examples of guys who have played in leagues such as the AFL or CFL and come back to the NFL as solid career backups.

Great to see Josh get a chance to play football. BUT, the CFL season is already more than half over (in week 13 of a 20 week season), so I don't know how much playing time he could get this year.
