good info, but can you guys (and girls, apparently

) PLEASE do one thing for me? Resize your images in photoshop, not by simply giving them HEIGHT= and WIDTH= attributes in the HTML. Not only will it look a zillion times better (and more professional), but just by poking around a bit, I can tell it will save you LOADS on bandwidth. (For instance, the NIU logo is 2100x2100 pixels or so. By using Photoshop to make it your 60x60 or whatever, you're saving yourself...and your users on slower connections...over 500K of bandwidth, just for that one image.)
I guess that's my pet peeve for today, thank you.

Is it any better now?

Thanks for the info. I guess I forgot to check that, since it loads fast on my computer. Please let me know if it still doesn't work well for you.
By the way, yes, I am a girl, but Dave doesn't hold that against me, so I hope you don't either.

No problem, though I don't see any difference. The images (MAC logos) still look pixelated around some edges, due to giving them attributes in the HTML. The file sizes look better, but the appearance is still a little (uhh..) "annoying" (?) to me.

We do?
I played with the logos a little myself, and it's tough, because at least half of them aren't even all that close to square, so picking if you want the height or the width to be consistent, you're not going to get as even of a table in the sidebar. Akron's logo for one ends up being about 60x37 if you size it down, which makes it teeny.

That may be the first time I've ever heard those words coming from a woman...

well that's only because she was talking about something she had done. If it was your website, it better be perfect buddy or else hit the road.
