Cleveland, Ohio - For the second time in his career, junior wide receiver Charles Sharon has been named MAC West Special Teams Player of the Week. Sharon, a junior from Palatka, Florida returned a punt 79 yards for a TD in the Falcons' 49-10 win over Southeast Missouri State. It was the fourth longest punt return in BGSU history and the first punt return TD since November of 2001 (Robert Redd, 61 yards vs. Miami).

That punt return was great. For my first Falcon game and to watch that return.... WOW is all I can say.

Hopefully that will be similar to golf and be the one that keeps you coming back!
BG football is always good for some excitement and thrills. I cannot believe that yesterday I had to defend BG at a family get together. RedwingTom's brother complaining about what a rip off $14 is to see a BG football game
Nevermind the comparitive prices at other Division1A college games.

I remember his freshmen year when he dropped every other pass. Now he turned into a highlight reel.

Hammb -- Please tell me that was a joke! $14 for a Bowling Green game is a ripoff?!? You gotta be kidding me! For the product on the field and the atmosphere, I'd say that is a tremendous bargain ... a great investment for your dollars! Good grief ... are you kidding me?!? I can get season tickets for BG for roughly the same price as attending one OSU game. I had a chance to get tickets for OSU-UC and I decided to save my money and watch it and the BG-Oklahoma game at BW3 in Bowling Green. Michelle and I made the hour or so drive up to Bowling Green last Saturday because they weren't showing the BG-Oklahoma game in the Columbus market. I think they showed Michigan-Miami (a 43-10 Michigan blowout).

FWIW, it is very easy to get into a game even cheaper then that. Pepsi cans have a deal where you can get 4 reserved tickets for just $28. So that is just $7 per ticket. Don't need 4 tix? Sell the two you don't need for like $10 per ticket. The buyer saves $5 and you now just spent only $8 for your two tickets.
My kids are in the Falcon Kids Club, so they get a free reserved ticket to each football game (except Marshall, they must be expecting a sellout for that one). So for the other games, that means that I paid $45 (three kids X $15) to get 12 free tickets. That comes out to $3.75 per ticket, and that is not taking into account that they get into several basketball games free as well. Oh, and my two youngest probably won't go to any more games so I get to use the free ticket and then pass off the other one at a profit!
Also, the kids did the summer reading program at the library this year. Just for doing that, they also received a coupon for free tickets to the SEMO game. So all five of us attended for free! I even gave away the extra coupon to someone at the Alumni tent.
So I don't want to hear someone say that $14 is too much to pay to go to a Falcon game because it is pretty easy to get the cost down below that significantly. Now paying $45-50 to go to a TOSU game, that is ridiculous!

There is no better value than Falcon tix...you get to see top notch, quality 1-A football at a great price. For $75, I get 5 game tickets on the 48 yrd line, Row 24....about half way up the West side. $15 a game?? What a deal!
The BG/UT tix at the No Class Bowl this yr are $29.00

I guess somebody has to pay for that hotel they have on the top of the home side.
WH,
I think my boys are gonna join that Falcons Kids Club...even though we can't get to that many hoops and hockey games, it still seems worth it!
