Wisconsin Defense

Post by cowboyjoe »

Wisconsin shuts down North Carolina 14-5. I had said on an earlier thread that I didn't think anyone would score over 24 against them this year. Calhoun had 171 yards rushing and their defense limited NC to no TD's. 42 points is looking pretty darn good if you ask me.

F*%k Wisconsin. We went into the Camp and embarassed them, even in a loss. I don't know why no one else can admit that. No one hangs 42 on a Wisky D - Bottom line. We should be proud of what our offesne did, even if our D did underperform.

I seem to remember another northwest Ohio MAC team that gave up 63 in back-to-back weeks to start last year. One of those teams didn't put up many more points than that in their remaining 10 games. That 50 we gave up does look pretty bad, but we still have 2 months to get it fixed, just like your D did last year.

The only thing people across the country remember about Toledo last year is 63-21 Minnesota and 63-14 Kansas---nobody remembers the wins like against Eastern Michigan where they had to use a fake punt to win. If they would have slugged it out against Kansas and Minnesota like BG did this year against Wisconsin people would respect that more. Gradowski "turtled up" in those 2 games.

No Doubt.

We have to stop the bleeding with these 50 -7 OOC games throughout the MAC. BG was more than respectable against the Badger D.

But they did slug it out against UCONN in the Motor City Bowl

It might be more accurate to say they got slugged out in the MCB byUCONN.

I thought it was BC that they "slugged it out" with in the MCB. Or doesn't it count when it's one-sided slugging? :?
