MAC is 0-21 vs. OOC I-A and it could get a lot worse

It's been a 180 degree spin from what we had last season from all the non-conference success. But the figure I read in the Blade said the MAC is 0-21 against I-A non-conference teams so far this season! Good grief! The shame of the matter is, it's probably going to get worse this weekend. One of the MAC's lone hopes just might be BG's game at Temple in a few weeks, and even that one will be no gimmie.

Temple is on espn's bottom 10. I think they had higher hopes for this yr in the offseason that so far haven't panned out. I hope this game isn't a nail biter for BG at least.

I don't think Temple is the worst team in I-A, no way. Now I am also not saying they are great or even good, but I'd take Temple over a dozen or so teams in I-A. The Owls have faced Virginia and Maryland so far, of course they were going to get beat, a lot of teams would. They be competitive and BG should win, but if we go into Philly expecting a cake walk, it could be a long trip back to Ohio. If we go in to take care of business, we'll have a nice trip home.

I've said it several times - do NOT take the Temple game for granted. Wallace has a lot of new pieces to put together and playing two Top 20 teams off the bat wasn't exactly an easy way to get the team to jel (gel? jell? gell?).

That being said, the MAC hasn't done itself any favors with its pathetic collective OOC performance.

Who is even thinking about Temple right now? Hopefully not the team.

We have to beat NIU before we can even think about Temple.

I agree, let's get back to NIU. But the problem is, the 24th can't get here soon enough! I wish we were playing this Friday.

I heartily agree with the sentiment, but I wish we were playing this Saturday. Friday night games = ::puke::

Yeah, it isn't good because the Green/Wadsworth Suburban League showdown is 9/24.

But I'll still be glued to the TV for the game. Wouldn't miss a BG game unless absolutely necessary....and I can't think of anything absolutely necessary at this time.

I have a DVR and believe me you'll love it. Being able to record a few shows at once pause, rewind. It's the best thing ever.
