What Wins Big Games?

In a nut shell, this is what I know (IMO) based on what we have seen so far from the respective teams:
1. BG has the better offense..hands down. Omar hanging 40+ on a Big Ten team at their place is an impressive resume at this point of the season. Boise O has been inconsistent and turnover prone.
2. Boise has the better defense...hands down. The Broncos at least slowed down BCS offenses in Georgia and Oregon State. We had trouble controlling Ball State.
3. Defense wins championships (i.e. big games). And good pitching stops good hitting in October...yadda, yadda, yadda.
4. It will come down to who's "weakness" plays stronger...their offense or our defense. I'm confident we can score 40+ on them, but will it be enough again?

we need to score 70 to stay on top of this one.

48-13 is "slowing" Georgia's offense? I agree they have the edge on defense, but I don't know that I'd be so quick to give it to them hands down...

I watched a little of that game, and it was more Boise's Offense that was costing them points. Similar to how our defense played well (supposedly) at Ball State, but gave up 31 due to turnovers & field position. Boise's QB was VERY off in that game, and turned the ball over a ton. Georgia scored a lot of points on short fields...although I'm not sure they would've struggled if they had to go 80 yards every time either. Georgia looks REALLY good in the early season.

I agree that Boise's offense put Boise's defense in bad spot after bad spot, but I disagree with your assesment of Georgia looking "REALLY good." Georgia scored only 17 against So. Carolina (and won by 2). And, I'm not going to read too much into Georgia beating La.-Monroe.
