TEMPLE - It's just what the doctor ordered!

The Owls and Doyt L. Perry Stadium can't get here soon enough!!! Too bad we have to wait 10 more days. After that, we are going to have one heck of a fight against the MAC. I'm already concerned that Ohio has a bye to prep for us in our first MAC game.

It is disappointing we have to welcome in mediocre competition to feel good about ourselves.

Yeah, we may need to get some psychologists in here to talk some people down off of ledges and bridges, too. It won't be cheap given the long gap between games, either.
Donations, anyone?

As disappointed as I am, the most negative thing I can say here is that this game might have cut the Temple attendance in half. Hopefully there were advance reservations and ticket purchases and nice weather, or this game may have the same affect on homecoming as NIU last year.

Great point, TG. With gas prices through the roof, a team that put on an embarassing performance on national TV, and an awful opponent, we may be lucky to get 15,000 people at the Doyt. I'll be there. Probably drink a little bit more this year tailgating to make the games more enjoyable, though.

Nights like this are why I never ever buy season tickets.
The down side is that we are playing Temple. IF this team has any cracks mentally, playing an ugly game against them is worse than losing. A loss would at least have the virtue of shocking the staff into dumping a coach or two, or the players into getting focused.

I'll be there vs. Temple for sure, and to be honest, we might just need a team like Temple to play as our next opponent. We need to work on everything about our team at this point. If we stuggle with Temple, it could be a long, long season. But I'm hoping....hoping....we can come out two Saturday's from today and play lights out and get a big win, and just feel good about ourselves. We really need some confidence before we hit MAC play. And finally, we're getting a home game, this three games on the road and not having a home game until October is for the birds (excluding Falcons).

Will the fact that it's Homecoming help with attendance at all? *hopeful*
It's gotta be hard playing in front of three hostile crowds in a row. I hope we can get enough of a crowd in the Doyt to welcome our guys home and pick up their spirits a little.

Gas prices be damned, I'll be there! And Oct. 29 at Akron. And even if we're 1-9 (WON'T HAPPEN), I'll be there yelling at Toledo with the passion of 10,000 suns.
Oh, and I might have a beer sometime in there, too.

It worked last year. We were 1-2 and coming off that horrible game with NIU. I have faith but there is something seriously wrong with this team.

The team didn't look ready to play from the start. They were fortunate that Boise St. went for field goals early.
BG had no passion to play this game. Omar looked like it was his first time playing QB. He rushed passes and he threw to people that had 2-3 guys on them. Early on he missed the short little screen pass to Pope that would have given them a first down. Instead he forces it to Sanders.
And once again the defense looked like...well there's nothing I can compare them to because I've never seen a defense this bad.
Overall the team didn't look they were ready to play or like they wanted to play. Earlier in the week there was a post that said is this game even important. It looked like on the field today that it wasn't for one team.
