What is missing after 3 weeks?

Leadership. Pure and simple. I just don't see the leadership yet from the players that are supposed to be leaders. I don't see anyone getting on people for making mistakes or not doing what they're supposed to be doing.
I just don't see it yet. But someone better step up in a hurry if we still want that MAC Title and bowl game.
For a season hyped as much as this one, it hasn't started like we thought it would.
I am so disheartened today...I honestly thought we could beat Boise State but would have to play a great game. We didn't come close. That is hard to accept.
The one positive thing I can say about last night? Sometimes getting your ass kicked is the best thing that can happen. Nobody is gonna roll over and let BG whip them. Everybody wants a shot at us. We better wake up in a hurry.
It's an 8 game season now....
GO FALCONS!!

Freak: Agreed. The loss of guys like Scott M., Cole, Jovon and Keon has left more than a talent void. It left leadership gaps. No one seems to have stepped up.

I agree too, when watching the game I didn't see anybody doing anything on the sidelines. Nobody was getting the guys pumped up and everybody was just standing around like nothing was going on...

I agree we are devoid of leadership, from the coaching and player ranks.
What I don't get is you have to know this going into the season. In college athletics you're pretty much replacing your leaders every year or every 2 years, at best. The graduate and move on, that's how it works.
You have to have others ready to step up and become leaders. I don't know why nobody has stepped up for this team, but its disappointing. They better do so soon, or our real goal for the season is going to be gone.

This is what I was trying to say one of my knocks on Omar is which I got blasted for. He can throw the ball but he also needs to be the motivational leader, not sit on the bench with a blank look on his face.

Nothing like an embarassing loss to bring all the cockettes out of the woodwork.

was that necessary? I wasn't trying to "kick you when you're down" I was just saying someone needs to get in Omar's ear and get him to be a true leader of the team. He is a captain, right?

But Shakkrocket has a point. Josh Harris was a LEADER. Omar needs to be that same type of LEADER....that goes for all the Captains.
Dammit, get fired up and get after people!!!
The team has 9 days to think about what happened the first 3 games...hopefully they will play to their potential as well as the coaches coaching to their potential.
I don't ever want to see an effort like that again.

I didn't say you were. But us getting embarrased has riled up some toledo traffic around here. Your post had an "I told you so" tone even though you're correct. We're obviously not going to be very receptive to I told you so's the day after a nasty game like that. I'm sure you understand.

I assure you, had I read your comments, I would not have blasted you. I've said the same thing on here for awhile. Josh Harris had "it". Omar may have "it", but he's yet to show "it".
