Is someone getting star struck? :D I see them everyday in classes and just walking around. If I didn't see them I might start to worry. Athletes not attending classes = suspensions!

I see them every day in class as well. Every class I've been in, the football and basketball players always sit in the front row.

I wonder if it's a rule that they sit in the front row. I notice the same thing with all of them in my classes as well. Maybe we just have studious athletes!

No doubt that a lot of our athletes work hard in the class room but I think it's a rule. It's a good rule.

You think its a rule to sit in the front row, I doubt it. It may be encouraged, but not required. When I taught Biology labs and did the occasional lectures, I had a few players that did not sit in the front row. They did tend to sit towards the front of the room usually, but not in the front row always. Plus, it's not like coaches are attending classes to check where the players are sitting. Anyways, the student-athletes are obviously doing something right with the graduation rates BG produces.

Sat next to Kevin Netter in my TV class my senior year. At that time it WAS a Dan Dakich rule that all his players had to sit in the front row. And you better believe he did have people going to their classes randomly to make sure they were there & in the front row. I'm certain that Dan still has that rule. There were a number of football players in that class as well, they were not in the front row, however. This would've been the spring after Urban's first year here. Quite possible that it is a Brandon rule now that was not in effect under Meyer.

AUTOGRAPHS

Post by OptionQB »

Anyone wishing to get autographs can come out to the BG (s)mall or Woodland Towne Center, which ever you prefer on Sat. the 18th, this weekend, from 11 to Noon for a meet and greet with coaches and players . . . Not sure which ones, but they're on our ads at the store.

I would assume they'll be down by Sam Goody/Dunham's area, but I don't know . . . Last year, they were by Quarters/Steak House . . .

If it is a DD rule, Steve Wright used to sit in the back row with me in my IPC class. As long as they are there you would think the coaches would be happy. Who knows though.
