What the heck are we gonna be eating Saturday?!? :)

Game starts at 4:00, so prolly try to get out there by 10:00 or so. What's on the menu!? I'm anxious for some good tailgating food, that's for sure!

Hey it's homecoming week, who cares about the 2 loses, it's our home opener, let' get pumped up!!! It's finally time for a home game on a saturday complete with tailgating & ass kicking of Temple. I can't wait to get all decked out in orange, head over to the Doyt, and watch Omar rebound from last week and throw at least 6 TD's. We will put up 80 on those weak ass Owls!!!

Somehow hammb, I knew you were gonna say that! :supz: :drinkers:

We want to be there by 11:30 at the latest. Fire up those grills!!

BWT< JohnnySwoop85, who I had the pleasure meeting at the Green/Wadsworth game Friday night, will be having a FG kicking contest. I will bring 3 footballs, a tee, a pump to make sure these old cowhides stay full of air and my straight on kicking shoe.

Get some grub in the belly, some beer and go kick some FG'S!
Then go back and drink more beer, grub some more food and then go watch BG kick the stuffing outta Temple.

I can't wait til Saturday. GO FALCONS!!!

I'm hoping to have the first beer down and breakfast on the grill by 9:30. It's going to be a looooonnnnng week of work to suffer through, but I can not wait to be back at the Doyt to see the Falcons.

Freak....don't get too over ambitious...the field goal kicking contest is on the 8th...because that is the first game I know I will be there well ahead of time because it seems like Wadsworth little league can't figure out whether the last weekend of the season will have a noon game (meaning I won't get to BG until 4:14 pm...it will be that precise) or a night game in which I will be there about 1:00 pm because we will blow little league off.

Among other reasons to have it on the 8th is 1.) 87 Alum may want to represent in the East Coast bracket 2.) Homecoming is typically more crowded and we don't want to kill anyone from the class of '52 when we start raining down 35 yarders!

Think of this weekend as a pre-game warm up...Each weekend, previous winners will get to defend their title culminating in the season-ending title match before Toledo when they will be crowned "12th Man"....or in some cases "12 pack man"

Well, I'm marching alumni band but I figure SPOTS will be a nice way to eat on Saturday.

*urp*

Philly steak w/ waffle fries. Yup, that ought to have me :vom: after Alumni band entry.

Field Goal kicking

I know you guys are talking pig skin and real goal posts but I was at an Iowa State game a few years back and saw a great tailgating contest.

These guys had constructed "goalposts" out of PVC pipe. They then had green astro turf like carpet laid out in front of it with "yard lines" marked off. Once you finished your beer you were supposed to crush the can by standing on it then set it up to try and kick for three through the uprights.

Just thought I'd share that cause it made me laugh and if I had any handy man like skills I'd have probably constructed it myself by now!

Sorry, man....just getting a little excited to kick some footballs!

Warm up sounds good....I mean I don't want to look like crap 2 straight weeks.

At any rate, I'll still have a few footballs and a tee if anyone wants to kick.
