Jordan Mac East player of the week

Being one of the people who always sticks up for him, I was happy to see him have a couple nice interceptions.

I've bashed Jelani plenty in the past. He's stepped it up this year and Saturday's game was a high point for him. He deserves the award.

As have I. It's not just interceptions or tackles either. I like to key on the secondary. Jelani played a good game Saturday. Rarely was he beaten, and when he was he showed good enough recovery speed to get back.

Same with Smith.

Temple's secondary, OTOH...wow were they made to look like fools.

Not to mention that great defensive move by the Temple staff to put #96 on Sharon. I was glad to see Omar go right back to him a second straight play after he saw the mismatch.
