HUGE Week in MAC Football !!!

There are some HUGE gmes in MAC football this week, beginning with Miami (1-1) vs. NIU (1-1) on Wednesday night. Both of these MAC powers already have a loss and cannot afford to lose this game. I like Miami better than NIU, but since Miami is in the East, I've got to pull for NIU to win (I've always got BG on my mind). Also, as if I had to remind anyone on here, BG (1-0) and OU (1-0) will fight for a sole spot in the MAC East as they are the only two undefeated teams in the division, and the same thing is going on in the West with EMU (2-0) and Toledo (1-0) going at it in the West. Obviously going with BG, and gotta go with EMU too. Other games are Akron (1-1) at Buffalo (0-1), Ball State (0-1) at WMU (1-1), and CMU takes on Army.

You're right, 33. This is the week the division races will really take shape.

The NIU fans seem to have lost their swagger and have real concerns about the Miami game. As you point out, a Huskie win would be a great windfall for us, as long as we take care of business against the Snobcats.

I see Toledo making quick work of EMU and Akron getting back on track against Buffalo. It will be interesting to see how the WMU/Ball State game unfolds; both teams have been sporadic, at best.

I am not quite so ready to write EMU off in this contest. I believe Eastern is a better team than in years past. If they can stay in the game, they have a chance. Central beat Miami (go figure), but then Eastern comes into their house and wins. Realistically, the middle of the pack is beating up on each other and UT will probably slaughter them...and Eastern winning is just "wishful" thinking.

Let's all root for NIU. Maybe this is the kinda game they need to get back on track.
