Tomorrow's Game--Miami vs Northern Illinois

Tomorrow's game between Miami and Northern Illinois is on ESPN2. This is a big game for both teams since each has already lost 1 conference game. The loser will really have its back against the wall in MAC play.
As BG fans, who do we want to win? I haven't really thought about it thoroughly, looking at schedules, etc., but on the surface it looks pretty clear that BG fans should want Northern Illinois to win. This would give Miami 2 MAC losses and put the BG-Ohio winner in the driver's seat in the East Division.
So, Go Northern Illinois, unless someone can convince me differently.
And, I think in fact that Northern Illinois WILL win at home.

Miami played well against Cinci....I think the game is to close to call, but I would not count NIU out at home esp wanting and needing a win....it will be a good game, esp if they both show up.

NIU will win. I have no doubt about that, but I wish Miami would. And if Miami loses, I hope BG gets smashed by OU. And then OU gets smashed. And then Miami rips BG and OU to pieces.

Forget this pessimism crap. Miami is at least a week ahead of Northern in terms of finding a defense, and that will prove to be just enough. I love Joe Novak, but it's Miami by four tomorrow night. Let's call it 31-27 just for grins.

NIU has a very good offense, but they couldn't stop Klinger in a dress. 8)

NIU is lucky that Miami didn't bench Betts for Klinger.
Seriously, Betts isn't right.....something is wrong. He didn't plant his feet at all last night and because of that he didn't throw one single tight spiral. He missed open receivers and didn't even see others that were wide open and either dumped it off into the flat or ran with the ball instead of throwing to the wide open defender. Betts made NIU's defense look better than they are, and Miami still scored 27 points in the game.
If BG gets by Ohio this weekend as I expect, the race in the East will be all but over.

your totaly right, he had a serious case of happy feet, and throwing fade aways with nothing on them to recievers that were wide open...and the ball just kinda floated like it was filled with helium.
I saw him on one drive where he played fine, then all the rest were crap...i hope he plays like that against us...we will have a pick party.
I think he might have been thinking to much and not playing the game.
I dont think he has been layed out this season to where he would be uncomfortable in the pocket.
Butch Grabaski might be after temple rocked him...i hope Eastern can get to him a few times.
