Mike Foor, DL at BGSU from 82-85 and Mrs. Freak's cousin, called the other night and stated the 1985 MAC Title team will be honored at the game this Saturday. The 1985 team will always be one of my favorite teams and I know a ton of others here love that team as well. Mike was 2nd Team All MAC in '85.
Well, Mike got a room across the street from the Doyt and asked if we were gonna be there.
Then, he asked if I would be staying the night in BG. Mrs. Freak, being the awesome woman and wife she is, said she would drive the Freaklings back to Huron and spend the night there while I stayed in BG and hung out with Mike and possibly some of the other '85 players.
Needless to say, that pumped me up even more. I don't know where we'll be going but it would be great if we could get other people to show up wherever we'll be. It has been a long time since the Freak has been able to stay the night in BG so I can't wait til the weekend!!
This is gonna rock more than a TESLA show....if that's possible.
GO FALCONS!!!
On a side note, the boys were at my mom and dad's a couple weeks ago and came back with game programs from 1985. Seems Mom Freak had these for years and I never knew it. 2 game programs...2 games I will never forget seeing.
One was the Miami Miracle and the other was the UT game which BG won 21-0 to clinch the MAC, in front of 28,000+. She also gave them the WMU/BG program from 1984.
Needless to say these are now in my possession.

Freak:
Awesome! As you know, the '85 team is one of my favorites as I covered them from the opening win in Muncie to the painful trip home from Fresno. I still have copies of the special section we put out at The BG News!
Man, this weekend keeps getting better and better ... all we need now is a Falcon victory!

The Miami Miracle remains the most exciting sporting event I have ever witnessed in person.

I know a coupla people who played on the '85 team. Can't say that I'd be quite as excited to hang with them, but it sounds like you & Mike will have fun!
BTW, Mrs. Freak sounds a lot like me. My H says I am the coolest wife of all times, especially after he went with his boys to watch football in NYC. I would guess it is much better than some of my friends who don't let their husbands have ANY fun. Have a good one Freak!

As far as #18, I believe Corey Partridge will be on the field.

I just read in the Sentinel that the '65 championship team is having a reunion this weekend as well. They will be introduced before the game and then go to the tunnel to welcome the current falcons onto the field. By the way, they clinched a share of the championship with a 17-7 win over Ohio.
