It's becoming a laugher.
28-7 in the second quarter. What is going on with the MAC's defenses this year? I thought Miami was going to have the best squad this season followed by NIU.
Strange season, this.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If we indeed are going to the MACC, please don't let it be against NIU. We can't handle a running game like that.

No doubt, it is down right scary how punishing a good running game can be - like NIU's. I sure hope we shut down Ohio's running game this weekend.

I said it before in another thread -- NIU looks like they may be the best team in the MAC. I think we're a close second simply because we don't match up well with NIU.
NIU's home field advantage is right up there with ours and *gulp* Toledo's in the tops of the MAC. It's real tough to be competetive in Dekalb.

I just thank God that if we have to play NIU this year in the MACC, it won't be there. Anything can happen on a neutral field. NIU hasn't looked that great away from Dekalb yet this year. But man this is very reminiscent of watching our boys up there.

NIU looks fantastic, but how did they lose to Akron?

Is Terna Nande playing? I know it was mentioned a few weeks back that he lacerated a kidney or something and was in the hospital. Haven't heard any updates and didn't hear his name called at all while I was watching.

In regards to NIU's rushing attack... Wolf seems to cut-back on a lot of his attempts. The line all blocks one way, he starts that way and they cuts the opposite way in the backfield yet. Maybe that is just what is working for him tonight and it doesn't happen all the time. But if that is the case, you just have your safeties cheat up and go against the flow of the play and they should be right there in the hole to meet Mr. Wolf.

Following is my rant about the end of the second quarter.
WHAT THE HELL WAS NIU DOING? They are moving the ball at will against Miami having scored 28 straight points. They stop Miami on their own 32 with a 1:45 to play. Fourth down, Miami has to punt. NIU calls a timeout, right? NO!

They let the clock run, Miami kicks, NIU takes over at their own 28, still about 1:15 to play. Plenty of time to move the ball into FG range at least, if not scoe a TD. And thy still have two timeouts. First play, Wolf run up the middle for eight yardse. Ok, they are running it well and it probably isn't expected so I will let that go. But do they run to the line and run another play? NO!

They huddle, let the time run, hand it off once more and then let the time run out. They have Miami on the ropes and a chance to stick the knife in their heart with another score and don't even try? And this from the coach the went for two to try to win a game instead of kicking the XP and going to OT.

I just don't get it.
BG, on the other hand, gets the ball inside their own 20 at Wisconsin with 33 seconds left in the half. Take a knee and head to the locker room? Hell no! Five plays later, TD, game tied at the break. 8)

35-17 in the fourth...someone let the dogs back out.....

If only I didn't have to work until 8 tonight I would have made the 2 hour drive and supported the dogs in all my brown and orange

No, I'm pretty sure Terna is still out indefinately, although I haven't heard any updates on him.
