have my orange football and kicking tee?
Seems we left the Doyt without the ball and tee.
Too many brats to grill to kick any FG's! Or maybe a bit too much alcohol to keep track of everything.

I think I'll stick to Diet Cokes this coming weekend.
We are heading up to Buffalo Friday afternoon and heading over to Niagara Falls and Goat Island to see the Nikola Tesla statue. The Freaklings want to see the "Modern Day Cowboy"!! LOL. TESLA ROCKS.
We are staying at the Red Roof Inn in Amherst. Won't be taking the grill since its a 1:30 kickoff so we'll just get up, get breakfast and head over to the stadium. I'd like to be there by 11 at the latest.
Buffalo has a very nice stadium...and I know we will have a much better outcome than my first visit there in 2000.
GO FALCONS!!!

I'm planning on going and hope we get a decent BG crowd up there. Buffalo's really not as far away as it may seem. Does anyone know what section is for visitor seating at UB?

It takes me 2 hours and 20 minutes to drive to BG from the Akron area...3 hr drive to Buffalo.
Our tickets are in Section 129. I bought them thru the BG ticket office.

Two band friends and I are planning on heading up. Mapquest lists it as a 5-hour drive, which isn't as bad as we thought originally, either.

The game against Buffalo in 2000 was the best loss our program has ever had. Blackney may have been on his way out anyway, but that loss embarassed him enough to step down (the next day, if I remember coorrectly). He showed how much he cared about the university by doing so as well. He gave Krebs a good two-month head start to pinpoint just the right man for the job. Krebs did not let us down.
I will be in a group of about 8 at Buffalo this weekend. I am looking forward to the trip.

If you go the right way (avoid the turnpike), you can get there in 4 - 4.5 hours.
You'll go right past my house on the way -- maybe my mom can make you dinner

Mr. & Mrs. FormerFreddie, daughter, parents (both BG alums), parents' neighbors, and cousin with wife will be in attendance.
Not sure where to tailgate though. Last time (2000), there was a BG tent next to the stadium. Maybe near there. I'm thinking we'll be there around 10:30am or 11:00am.

I will be there but it was a tough choice. BG hosts BOSTON COLLEGE in hockey the same night!!!! I really don't want to miss either game, but I've decided since Buffalo is the only MAC school I've never been to, I'm going there.

I posted the following in another thread on the tailgate this Saturday:
"The Buffalo alumni chapter is doing a tailgate before the game. I've traded e-mails with the chapter leader, and it's an informal get together, so bring your own. He's got about 30 or so signed up, and I let him know I would post it here.
It will be in a special events lot just off Coventry drive as you enter UB from Maple Drive.
He says he's getting there at about 10:00 to set up. I should be in from Rochester at about 10:30 or 11:00. (I'm bringing a North Carolina grad with me in case someone wants to get into an Ay Ziggy Zoomba argument)
If I get more information I'll post it."

We have a group of four that are making the trip. Probably going to leave EARLY Saturday morning and stay in Buffalo Saturday night. Can't miss some good high school football games on Friday!!

From all of the times that I have made the drive from Buffalo to BG I can tell you it will take about 4 and a half hours from BG. The traffic is never bad anywhere, and the weather should be pretty good. It shouldn't be snowing here yet

. Hopefully a lot of people will make it up here for the game.

Absolutely. I totally agree. Blackney did the right thing and we were able to take, IMO, the worst loss and form it into the program we have today.
When ya hit rock bottom, only one way to go.
But that was one miserable night in Buffalo...

My Buffalo plans are still up in the air...but if we do go...what side are the visitors on? and is anybody testing fate by going with pre-ordered tickets from will-call?

Breeze,
Yes it rained and I think I was the only one left in the parking lot after leaving the stadium. Had 3 Coors Lights left and sat down and drank them thinking how have we fallen so far???
BG was a 21 pt fave in that game and Buffalo ended an EIGHTEEN game losing streak that night. Oh my...
