A quick thanks...

Post by 1987alum »

Haven't had a chance to comb through all the post-Ohio threads yet, but wanted to say thanks to Grant for the tent. Awesome to have a place for all the AZZers to connect! And thanks, too, to all the folks who made us feel so welcome. It can be a little awkward since we're only at one game a year, but everyone made us feel like part of the family ... and that's a good feeling.

Lots of pictures and stuff to come ...

Karl,

You and Noah ARE part of the Falcon family. Was great seeing you and Noah and he is still undefeated! LONG LIVE THE STREAK!!!
Thanks for the tent, Grant. I am taking both new shirts to Buffalo...

Good times.

Great to see you & Noah again Karl! As Freak said, of course you felt like part of the family, you ARE part of the family! :)

Hope you guys can continue to get up for a game or two a year, and I hope that you've got a bowl game to travel to this year!

Tent rocked, as always, despite the 25' rule!

Yeah, that rule sucked, but Ashley was cool about explaining it to us.

Great time, as always!!

I've heard of the "three-foot rule", but what on earth is the 25-foot rule?

Basically the fire marshall cracked down on the university with some permits or something. I don't remember the exact details, although as Grant pointed out Ashley was nice enough to explain it all to us early arrivals. In the end, all flames & vehicles had to be kept 25' from the tent. Worse yet was that they drew a line, from the furthest tent back, so we were closer to 40' from our tent.

It was a bummer, but no big deal, really. We survived it :)
