Grinding

Post by Rollo83 »

Lets face it, we are at the point in this year's schedule where we have very little to prove in the eyes of the pollsters and the bowl selection committees.

Temple, Ohio, Buffalo, Western Michigan, Akron and Kent State...all games where we will be at least three touchdown favorites. We are suppose to win these games...convincingly.

We knew coming into the year that we had a four game schedule in front of us: Wisconsin, Boise, Miami and Toledo. The last two will decide if we get a fifth game (bowl) with significance.

This current six game stretch will allow us to:

1. Iron out the kinks in the offense
2. Get the defense some legs and confidence
3. Shore-up the gapping holes in the special teams
4. Get healthy (especially Pope)
5. Get some game experience for underclassmen (especially Turner)

Of course these games are important in the conference standings. But if we grind and take care of business as we whould, the consecutive Tuesdays in November will really decide the fate of our season.

Closets are for hangers, winners use the door."

How Long would Brandon leave Omar in? Could we see a BG record for TD passes in a game? Yards?

I want Omar gone next year... well maybe not... I'd love to go to the Wisconsin and OSU games...
