Boise debacle.....
Boise debacle.....
Did everyone see the score of their game on Saturday? They won 21-14 over 3-3 Division 1-AA Portland State--the key is that they still won but geeze!!

I can verify the fact that, YES it was a major Debacle. However PS also gave Oregon State trouble this year and Fresno state trouble last year. They actually have a lot of transfers from OSU and UO on their team, so they aren't as bad as one might think.
Boise still has not gotten into it's normal groove yet this year. I think that the only game that BSU has played near it's potential this year is against BGSU.
It has been really tough on us fans because we know we have more talent right now than ever in our history.
Good luck with the rest of your games this year Falcons. The MAC title is still very much there for the taking.

I love you Broncos like a borther (in terms of fandom), but I really hope we get to see you in a bowl. Not only would we get to share another bowl game with a great fanbase like we have the past two years with Northwestern and Memphis, but we'd also get the chance to smoke you like we should have the first time.
Thank you for sticking around here, SD. I appreciate your perspective on things and I hope you will be here for some time to come. Also, if that "SD" in your title stands for "South Dakota," I have been to your fine state and I thought it was gorgeous. I know that I may be among the minority, but I am enthraled with those wide-open spaces and the skyline that never ends. In fact, one of my favorite songs ever is by a band named "Bellweather," and is called "South Dakota." Look it up if you get the chance. It is an absolutely gorgeous song.

Yes, I think that the Falcons and Broncos are "Kindred Spirits". The 2 teams have a lot in common and are both trying to earn respect on the national scene and be taken seriously.
The Falcons are now my adopted MAC team. I have a favorite from almost every conference and always leaned toward the Falcons in the MAC anyway. The big thing is that from what I've seen, BGSU has a great program going, classy fans, and a good coaching staff. I will be watching as many BGSU games as I can catch on TV and checking box scores.
I used to like Marshall because we played and beat them in a semi-final game the last year Boise went to the National Championship in 1AA. Both Marshall and BSU went to D1A at about the same time and both had early success. I never really did connect with their fans though, and we never play them so you guys are the new "It". Hope that's ok, and I will still of course be rooting for the Broncos next year.
Sorry to disappoint, but the SD is not South Dakota. It is San Diego. I live in Del Mar (a beach community in San Diego) but no one knows where Del Mar is, so I use SD. I do still keep a small house in Boise and spend 3-4 months a year there, and fly home for most of the Saturday home games.
Assuming that both schools right the ship and stay on track, I would rather we both take a shot a punching a BCS school in the mouth!odd thing is if the planets and moon end up just right...we could face the broncos in a bowl game.............. Wink
We'll see you guys soon enough, and next year it is at your house.
