As usual, we had trouble with the other team's speed - we are the slowest team in the league, but as Grant mused Saturday, we make up for it by being small. After we scored a TD, a kid on the other team started zig-zagging across the field. Apparently tired of seeing the other team score on long runs, Noah got the angle on the kid and found another gear, closing the gap near the end zone.
It was here that instinct overcame instruction. Instead of reaching out for the flags at waist-level, Noah went airborne, wrapped around the kid's shoulders and plowed him into the ground. It was a SportsCenter hit. Unfortunately, being flag football and all, I couldn't high-five him. Instead, I had to reprimand him for tackling someone.
Nonetheless, I wish I had it on tape.
