NIU - ISU

NIU looked like they were rolling over for dead as they went down 20 - 7 in the 2nd quarter, but they have managed to throw 21 points on the board in the last 7 minutes before the half. There is another half to play, but that explosion was scary...I am glad we have the extra weak to prepare.

Iowa State isn't very good, but NIU has been much more effective through the air than they have been the last few times I've seen them.

NIU just took it down 98 yards for the score.

Next Friday cannot get here fast enough. I can hardly take the waiting anymore.
The MAC as a whole is having decent success today so far. Marshall is hanging tough with Georgia and Western is only down 4 against Illinois.

This has been a wierd game. NIU ran off three TD's to clsoe the first half after coming up short on a 4th and 2. ISU just scored on a blocked punt after a big defensie series that followed a missed 4th down conversion when their WR dropped a TD pass.

ISU just tied it on a TD and a 2pt conversion. There's just over 9 minutes left. ISU definitely has the momentum on its side.

ISU just scored to go up 41-34. They picked off a pass inside the NIU 35 and drove the short field for the go ahead TD. NIU is playing back on their heels.
