Northwestern, by default, is now a "quality team"

Northwestern dispatched a good Kansas team warlier today in a hard fought big 11 v. big 12 battle. After a tough loss to a 'solid' Northwestern team, the Jayhawks can go home feeling good that they were able to compete with them in a close 17-20 loss. Toledo's Tom Amstutz was quick to praise The big ten bottom dweller as well.

This was one of the most painfully boring games to sit through. The first half was untolerable, luckily things got going late in the 3rd quarter. Kansas really should have won this game, their tackling was poor.
Another thing that was really, really poor- the "tailgating" scene. Wow, talk about a wine and brie crowd. We almost got kicked out of the parking lot because we were under 65. . .

WEll my buddy went to KU for grad school and lives in Kansas City and he flew in for the long weekend in Chitown. I left BG thursday afternoon and we had a great time. Besides, he put up with me in Lawrence a few years back. . .
Got some good comments from my Rock Chalk/Ziggy Zoomba t-shirt. Also had fun playing the ignorant fan asking how NU did last year and if they made it to a bowl game. . haha
Went to the Second City on Saturday night- that place is F-ing hilarious. . And oh yeah Jim Belushi stopped by and performed with the troup, it was AWESOME and hysterical!!

Id be jealous, except I got to see my boy Moises Alou hit a few dingers, and Greg Maddux pitch here in cinci. It was great.

Northwestern the Big 10 doormat should have completely smashed TCU but for the kicker somehow missing FIVE FREAKIN FIELD GOALS. Just insane!!! Kansas, generally a Big 12 doormat whipped the hell out of Tulsa, last year's 8 win mid major feel good story.
So much for parity.

Didn't Bush actually get a second UN resolution declaring North Western is not a quality football program?
Don't they sell NW team jerseys at the Aldi's in BG?

Did anyone say that NU won that bowl game like half the articles published on websites did? I think it'd be funny to catch one fan who thinks they know what they are talking about even though they pulled their information from a wrong source
