Lets face the Facts!

I think the time has come to accept the fact that BG is not a very good football team. They play in a very weak conference. As a fan that has seen all the games this year but Buffalo I've now come to realize that this is a team with a good offense and a poor defense with poor special teams. The Coaching staff has made very few adjustments that have helped. BG depth isn't there. This years team has had more injury's than the last two years combined. As for the MAC, this conference that I love is awful this year. Balance yes but talent no. Western could hardly beat Temple! Akron gets shutout at home against ARMY! Akron isn't even the doormat of the league. This conference doesn't deserve more than two bowl bids if that at all. Next year maybe it will be different but as for this year I've seen enough. I will continue to support the team and attend the games but I've face the facts. What's up with only 13,900 in attendance on a beautify Oct. Sat.? Can we get 10,000 for Akron?
Can we give up the politics? This is the Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba Falcon Forums! We need not push our Democrats or Republican favorites on here. I think most of us are on here to get away from that stuff. And if your trying to make a point by keeping score of the number of unfortunate deaths in Iraq list all the names of those that have fallen not just the number.
nough said.

The face you have OSU in your SN says a lot about the ideas you probably have about the MAC. It's an extremely parity-filled conference this year.
If you want to get rid of negative ideas, then you should start with yourself.

BG Drew, My SN comes from this: I attend BGSU for some class and grew up in BG but I'm an OSU graduate. I've had season tickets to falcon basketball for a number of years and to football since Meyer became coach. I'am a true fan of the under recognize MAC. I just don't think this is a good year for the conference in football. I do think this will be a good year for hoops in the MAC. I'm not trying to be negative just realistic, I don't think this team has gotten one bit better from the first game of the year. Feel Free to tell be I'm wrong, but where have they improved?

If you wanna call it parity that's fine, because its technically true. The conference is, for the most part, pretty evenly matched this year.
That doesn't make it good parity. The MAC is awful this year. We have almost no OOC wins, and those that we do have are not impressive. UT & BG got trounced by other mid-major programs on the road. I don't think the conference had a single OOC win against a Big 10 team this year.
Call it parity if you will, but I call it crap. The MAC sucks this year, and BG is no better than the rest of the conference.

i think everyone should chill out. as bad or as good as we may be we are still in 1st in MAC east and still the team with the best chance to get into the MACC game. maybe getting their asses kicked by another MAC team will light a fire. you dont know so dont write em off yet. do not write them off untill its over. we have to go out and beat akron this week.
ITS NOT OVER
a conference is still ours to take people
they can bounce back but you got to support them in doing so instead of telling them how bad they suck. Grow up people.

The MAC had three really good teams in 2003 (BG, NIU and Miami) and two pretty good teams (Toledo and Marshall). Last year, Toledo and BG were pretty good and NIU and Miami were good.
This year it looks like Toledo has a good team, NIU might be a good team and the rest of the conference looks a little shaky at best.
We can win out....I don't think we will, but we have the talent to beat anyone in the conference.
Going forward, I hope we can rebuild and reverse the downward trend.
