Suisham new starting Cowboys kicker

Post by dduncan »

Cowboys cut Cortez today and signed Shaun Suisham to be their starting kicker. Hopefully he can stick.
The Cowboys waived Cortez today after another shaky performance.

The team has signed Shaun Suisham who has been on the Cowboy's
practice squad this season. He's a rookie from Bowling Green.

Said coach Bill Parcells of Cortez, "There were just too many
problems. Too many erratic things."

If you saw the game yesterday, you know he missed a big kick. Cortez
was animated in blaming the missed kick on a poor hold. Parcells
bought none of that. "That was a big miss. The ball was down. He just
missed it."

Here's his chance...hopefully he makes something of it! Best of luck to Shaun!

Ya' see....the Karma just changed.

Way to Shaun and congrats to the whole Suisham family....anyone else notice that they still come to some (maybe all) of BG's games?

Well, there are 2 popular answers to that ?:

1) So God can see his favorite team play football; and
2) To let the smell out.

Thankfully, we're getting a new stadium!

Wow. I was just reading yesterday in my usual "Google Newsing" for former Falcons that Cortez's (?) solid performances the previous few weeks since Shaun's original signing had him locked in as their kicker. Best of luck to Shaun on Sundays!

Hope his first game starts a little smoother than Todd France's di for Philly. He came out of it pretty well, though. First the MAC gets known for its QBs, now its kickers. Good luck, Shaun.

Oh, yeah-so God's favorite team is playing the Cowboys in Dallas this week?

Nope. What we hated was his seeming inconsistency... seemed like he'd nail long field goals with ease, then miss a short one by a mile.

Of course, compared to our situation now, Suisham was as predictable as the tides.
