Bowling Green gets a couple more votes. They now have 5 points in "also receiving votes."

I am assuming that this is a matter of Coach Brandon having us ranked at #20 moreso than multiple people putting us in their poll.

After the OU game we had 1 vote, meaning one person had us at #25. With the conventional wisdom of the poll when some of these other teams lose, we SHOULD move up on that person's ballot. It appears that is what's happening, and we're moving on up!

Its nice, no doubt, that we're moving up, but I don't put a whole lot of credence into it as far as our national perception.

Good point Hammb. My first impression always seem to be that it means five coaches voted for us, but that doesn't have to be the case.

As a side note on how stupid the polls are, how about Iowa getting their butts :butthead: kicked by Arizona St and still being ranked ahead of them? It is one thing if the game was close, but losing 41-7 sure seems to prove to me that the Sun Devils are a better squad then the Hawkeyes. Not that ASU shoud be ranked higher, but more that maybe Iowa was ranked WAY too high to start with. Seems like they were getting credit for past years accomplishments.
