This may be the wrong time to ask....

Post by SDbronco »

Hey guys, I was real sorry to hear about your last game. I know how you guys feel. It has been a little hit and miss for my team (Boise) so far this year as well. It started out with so much potential.

Since I am not as up on MAC FB as I am on Western FB, I just wanted to ask a few questions if no one minds.

1) How do you see your chances at making a run for you championship game?

2) What are your chances now for a bowl game this year. Am I correct thinking the MAC has 2 bowl spots? Or is it 3?

3) How do you feel the team and coaches are responding? Do you feel like this last game was just a let down and that they will be able to suck it up and recover?

As for the Broncos, we are hot at times and cold at times. It is really hard to say. They are just having a hard time putting teams away. Almost like they want to let them stay in the game to make it more exciting at the end. It is really frustrating. I do think that they are starting to put it all together now and hopefully they will put a complete game together soon.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Good luck the rest of the year. There is still a lot of FB left to be played. :)

Even with out latest loss, we are still incontrol of our own fate. However we don't have a lot of wiggle room now. What makes things more difficult is that the two MAC games that most of us (myself included) have been worrying about havn't been played yet; Miami (OH) and Toledo. We get Toledo at home (which helps) but we play at Miami, which hurts.

The MAC gets 2 bowl bids this year. There is talk that the MAC will pick up a 3rd next year when Toronto gets a bowl game. Personally I think our chances of going Bowling hinge on whether we make it to the Championship game. If we don't go to the championship game I highly doubt we'll have any post season play (which sucks, cause I'd really like to go back to Alabama)

This last game is a show of what I've been worried about since the spring game. The games I was worried about before the seson started are still the games I'm worried about now. Our OOC game I was most worried about (and was looking forward too the most) was the Bosie game. Turns out I was right. Our MAC games that worry me the most still worry me, Miami and Toledo. In fact after this week, they worry me more than ever.

Sorry to hear that you guys are having problems too. I'm sad to admit that I havn't been following you guys anywhere near as much as I'd like to. You played a nice solid game agianst us (as painful as it was for me to watch). Best of Luck with the rest of your season and hopefully you'll get some post season gifts.

Saturday was a let down because we lost. But I think we see it as a case of problems that have plagued this team all year finally catching up. Our special teams are among the ten worst in the country, and our defense isn't a whole lot better. That finally bit us in the butt Saturday.

So, while I hope the coaches and players can reach down deep inside and figure out the next four weeks, I'm nervous about it.

Maybe Brandon has some trick plays on the shelf, some new wrinkles on defense, something in the well that will give us an edge at Miami or against Toledo.

And, heck, I'm not even willing to look past Akron.

Additionally, I hear a new decision is in the works at the athletic department... they've decided never to play a team nicknamed the Broncos ever again...

SDBronco,

Seems like both Boise State and BG have not played nearly as well as we had hoped. Like you said, lots of football to go.

How are things in the WAC these days?
