... was also the last time we lost two consecutive home games. Before that, the last time BG lost consecutive home games in the same season was 1997. And before that, the last time we lost home games on consecutive weekends was, gulp, 1980 (Eastern Michigan and Cal State-Long Beach).

michhiker - what do we get? A Back To The Future Deja Vu special, landing us square at the end of the Blackney era.

Well, Brandon and Blackney led us to Bowls. The same cannot be said for Urban Meyer and Moe Ankney. :?

While that may be true, I have a real hard time putting Gregg Brandon anywhere NEAR Urban Meyer in terms of coaching talent.

Don't remember Ankney.

Blackney was a real odd case. He had talent on his teams, but there was an attitude & work ethic lacking. But that attitude & ethic must've been there early in his tenure. I'm not sure if he got complacent, or what. I wasn't a huge BG fan until the latter years of his tenure, so I cannot really speak for it.

hammb: post made with tongue in cheek; just saying that we can't base our head coach based on the first letter of his last name.

Anyway, the discussion is meaningless, in that we all know you are Brandon's successor.
