Prior to Shaun Suisham's points this last weekend, which former Falcon last scored a point in an NFL regular season or playoff game?

First thought would be Martin Bayless, though I don't know if Kyle Kramer ever found the end zone, and I'm pretty sure Charlie Williams didn't, or Khary Campbell, who has spent much of his young career on special teams.

What about McClure? I don't remember if he saw the field in the regular season/playoffs.

Martin Bayless never scored a TD in the NFL.

Kyle Kramer never scored a TD in the NFL.

Charlie Williams never scored a TD in the NFL.

Khary Campbell has yet to score a TD in the NFL.

Reggie Thornton never scored a TD in the NFL.

Brian McClure never passed or ran for a TD in the NFL.

Thanks to http://www.footballdb.com/index.html for those verifications.

As best as I can tell the last regular season point from a BG player in the NFL happened in 1985 while the player was a member of the New Orleans Saints. Anyone know it now?

I'm gonna bet it was a certain WR who had a fairly good career at BG too. Am I right? (Let the others put on their thinking caps)

Not counting the one he scored in 1994 with the Redskins, of course... 60 yard fumble return.

Though thanks to this little exercise, I just found a virtual goldmine for bgsusports.com research! ( http://www.databasefootball.com/players ... reen+State )

Phil Villapiano played two seasons for Carolina in 2003-04? Returning kicks each year? Something's fishy...

That sounds like it would be Jeff Groth, the Cole Magner of his time. Before that I think you would have to go back to Dave Preston.

Bayless in '94
Groth in '85
Preston in '83

Who would it have been before Preston? Mark Miller?

wasn't there a safety from the mid nineties who played for the cardinals who had a couple of picks and a td to boot?

I'm sure there was, but he didn't play at BG.

Charlie Williams played some DB for the Cowboys around that time (95-99 or so), but mostly saw action on special teams and never saw the endzone.

It says that Carlos Brooks logged seven games with the Cards in 1995, but no TDs. That would fit the criteria, but the answer is still no.

Groth had two receiving TDs in 1985, BTW, his last season in The League.

Did anyone else notice the number of former BG players (seven, I think) who played in 1987, the strike-shortened season? Those games counted, contrary to popular belief. There were an awful lot of guys who played just three games that year.
