A brief report from a 30-40 min view of practice tuesday

After picking up the kids at school, we ran some erands and grabed some snacks and drove to the fields to see if we could catch some pratice. We did and here is what we saw:
1st Omar, was dressed ( I dont know if he has not been prior to today) he and AT were taking reps, AT was taking more than Omar. More on that in a min. Omar between reps was constantly rubing down his left shoulder. I could not see his face, to far away, but after every and at times every other set he start rubing. This is prety normal as I am sure its still tender.
Omars passes looked good, crisp, tight spirals. Only one underthrown ball ( it looked like was one those " I am going to see just how far I can throw it today" passes so I discount it...but its was near 45-50 in the air.
BAck to AT and taking more Reps, I would guess that at this point they are preping AT to play on Saturday, unless Omar gives the good to go. My guess again on that is wed-thursday they will make predetermination, then wait till gameday to finalize it.
AT looked good, but he literally hops with both feet waiting to pass. He reminds me of Q-bert. Its realy kind of funny to see.
Coaches were all over the guys about executing and being sharp, i could hear that from a distance very well.
Special teams
Well guess what. It looked like we had our punt squad in a standard formation. now I am excited about this, yet had to remind myself that they may have been preping and not knowing what formation KSU uses will leave it at that. Some nice looking punts however, at 4.32, and 4.4 i could not judge distances from my spot.
field goal well lets hope we are not kicking alot, missed from what looked like 30 twice, and 40 once.
D was woking on some drills against the run the whole time I was there, and lots of guys were doing push ups for what I am guessing were missed assingments and or tackles.
That is all I have on practice, the guys were working hard.

If Omar isn't ready, I sure as hell hope he doesn't play Sat. Hopefully AT will keep us in the game and Omar can sit another one out. He needs to be ready for that Miami game.

Well its only been about 10-11 days since he poped it so my feeling is that had to be one of those 2-4 week. Since he was throwing quite a bit I would guess he might be inthe 90% area by the weekend. I am sure that if he does play, he wont be comfortable as he will have it on his mind and will act a bit differently in the pocket for a while. I know I would

I have a feeling that we're going to see #4 take the field for the Falcons on Saturday. No inside information, but just a feeling that he's going to get in there on Saturday.

Of course Omar can go out there and throw the ball and run the offense, but the problem is what happens when he takes a hit or gets sacked. If he aggrevates it again he could be done for the season.

I say Play AT.
