Let's all hope he's right about Ball State. Ball State wins that game and BG controls their destiny...again. With Omar getting better and probably back for Miami, this would be GREAT!!!

Looks like Nick and the Freak agree 100% for the BG/Kent game.

Ball State will beat Akron...the Zips are very inconsistent. Akron beat NIU earlier this season and then the next week they blew a 17-7 halftime lead, at home against CMU, and lost 31-17. I'm glad BG played the Cards early in the season cuz that win over NIU showed this team can now play on the road. The Cards are pesky and tough to put away at home.

Can we wish for a Buffalo win over Miami? Don't think it will happen but ya never know in this legue this year.

Anyone want to chime in on who you want to win between UT and Ohio? I see both sides of that one. We win either way but it probably would be better for Ohio to lose.

GO FALCONS!!!

Got to pull for Toledo to win, period! No questions asked. Yeah, I know it's UT, but Ohio is a MAC East team and is tied with BG. I know we hold a tie-break with them as of right now, but if there is a three or four-way tie (it certainloy could happen, we're in one now), it could turn out that Ohio could edge us if they were to beat UT because it could be one of the factors to use in a multiple tie-break down the list. Not to mention, we have lost two games in a row and we need to win ourselves. But we need Toledo to win over Ohio, no doubt. Ohio beating Toledo can only hurt BG, Toledo beating Ohio can only help BG. BG cannot be hurt by a Toledo win in this game in our hopes of a MAC East championship and trip to the MACC.

Freak:

We have to root for who ever is playing Miami, Akron & Ohio the rest of the season, IMO. So a Rocket victory over Ohio would be my choice.

But, then again, I've been told I'm sleeping with the enemy, so maybe my opinion is jaded.

I certainly see that side. While I would love to see UT lose, it would be better if they beat Ohio for BG. The ONLY time I'll root for UT is if it helps BG, which this is the case. For the Love of Doyt Perry, how do you say "GO Rockets" convincingly????
Maybe Ohio will lose tomorrow and then beat Akron next week. That would be cool....especially if Akron loses at Ball State Saturday.
Actually, all this is pretty fun. ALL these games mean something.

GO FALCONS! Take care of business at Kent.

No. I'll just settle for a U Tu.... U Tu..

No. That doesn't work either. I'll just settle for a Bobcat loss.

Here are my thoughts. I want Ohio to win. We already have them in a tie breaker, and the thought of us being 5-3 and needing the head to head is one I'm not willing to make yet. If we want them to lose then what we are saying is effectively, we will only be 5-3. This seems defeatist to me and does nothing to pump up the team. In fact an OU win may be more fire under the team's ass because it is even more reason for them to go out and win. But an OU loss would seem to create an illusion of more wiggle room than I think the team has.

My other reason, is that if BG isn't playing the MAC Championship, I sure don't want to watch Toledo playing in it. Another Toledo loss gives someone else a better chance. Plus, I don't want to watch a Toledo/BG match up twice, lets just kick their butts once, and then beat some else the next week.

Need to for sure for us to get back in this thing. Not sure if Ball St. is good enough to beat em or not , might as well, can't predict this years Mac teams to save your life.
