Verbal Tyrone Pronty's Maple Heights team was beaten in D-2 last night by Akron Hoban 27-20.

Powell Olentangy Liberty rolled Toledo Rogers and former recruit, (Miami verbal) Peris Edwards.

Another local favorite Clyde edged out Tipp City Tippecanoe 22-20, BG may or may not be in on Clyde DE Matt Guhn. With Coach Rothenbuhler's past, you would think, we would have a shot. I believe he came to us from Clyde.

AT's Chaminade-Julienne mates run it up on Napoleon 35-14.

Findlay's Liberty Benton over Korey Lichtensteiger's Crestview Knights big 37-6.

And Hamler Patrick Henry edges out Elmwood 34-31.

Coach Rothenbuhler is from Oregon Clay, but I'm sure he has close NW Ohio ties as does Coach Mike Ward.

Yeah, DeSales is pretty good. They are one of those private schools that plays teams from all divisions. Their four losses this year were at the hands of bigger schools - Cin. St. X., Cin. Moeller, Tol. Cen. Cath., and Bishop Watterson.

One of the reasons why I sometimes doubt if public schools can really compete with private schools. Especially smaller division schools.
