Record of teams we have beaten vs our losses?

Post by Germainfitch1 »

i am curious as to the record of the teams we have beaten vs the teams we have lost to.

Have we even beaten a team with a winning record?

Teams we've beaten: Ball State (3-6), Buffalo (0-9), Temple (0-10), Ohio (4-5) and Kent (1-8) for a grand total of 8-38.

Teams we've lost to: Wisconsin (8-2), Boise (7-2), Western Michigan (6-3) and Akron (4-5) for a grand total of 26-12.

Doesn't make you feel comfortable playing Miami and Toledo!! :(

No. We should just forfeit. We are poorly coached with heartless players that line-up in a stupid punt formation on national TV on the road against a good opponent. We are certainly up a creek without a paddle in this one.

I have mixed emotions about the pissing matches we've seen on the board this year. (actually, I hate reading the same old crap, but I'm trying to undertand the POV's involved)

On the one hand, I think people do tend to focus on the negative far more than the positive. We had people voicing complaints about the team after the Temple game...we won by 63pts, STFU... The boards are far busier after a loss and the criticisms of the players and coaches are far more venemous than the compliments are positive after a win.

On the other hand, it serves no purpose to close your eyes and plug your ears when someone makes a factual notation about the team's performance this year. It is what it is and at times it's been far from pretty.

Is it too simplistic to just say "cut the crap?"

I apologize for the above remark. I don't see the delete button over to the left or I would delete it. Bad moment at work plus reading 100 posts about how we will not win this game led to a stupid post from me. I'm sorry.

We have not played well against good teams and have beaten some of the worst in college football. I believe this is the game where we turn the tide and beat a good team.

I'm with ya flip -- I've come down on both sides of the fence at times this year. I've also been guilty of criticizing the overly negative at times while being pretty negative myself in a couple posts. Cut the crap about sums it up.

Agree with each other and disagree with each other, but be respectful and civil while you do it. Stay away from the extremes (We suck balls or We're the greatest and control our own destiny) and we'll all be okey dokey.

Let's face it -- this year we're a middle of the road team in the far lesser division of a bad conference. Sure we still have a decent shot of winning the thing and that would be super, but it will not be easy and we will have to play much better than we have been to pull that off. There's nothing wrong with pointing out our glaring flaws just like there's nothing wrong with believing we can overcome them and win a huge road game against a quality opponent. No need to be dicks to either camp at this point. We're all on the same team. Except for the rocket posters -- feel free to dick them around a bit  .

No apologies needed: this encapsulated 90% of the negative talking points in one sentence. If there was a bowing emoticon, it would be placed here.
